With "Redirects" you can create short referral URLs that link to a long one. This allows you to communicate an URL that is easy to type, while the content is on a longer URL.
To create such a referral you go to Website > Redirects, where you can enter an alias and a target.
- Alias
The alias is the term you want to communicate. In the example above it is "podcast".
- URL
The short URL you can communicate will be the address of the website followed by this alias. For example:
www.muziekgebouw.nl/podcast.
- Target
The target is the purpose of the referral. This is the long URL, a complete address, including https:// For example: https://www.muziekgebouw.nl/nieuws/728/Nieuwe_podcastserie/.
Note: Do not use an alias that already appears in the main menu of the website. For example www.website.com/program is often already a main menu item.
